The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
